A Weekend of Insight, Growth, and Connection through Meaningful, Memorable, and Measurable Information
A New Lens for Your Family’s Well-being
Divorce changes the structure of a family, but it doesn’t have to shatter its effectiveness. Shifting Families is an immersive weekend retreat designed for parents who are navigating, or have already experienced, divorce and want to strengthen themselves and their children.
Through a full-color lens of resilience, reflection, and renewal, this retreat will support you in making the shifting patterns of your family dynamic with clarity, compassion, and confidence—so you and your children can thrive.
Like a kaleidoscope, each shift in your family’s structure offers a chance to see strange and new possibilities—shaping something vibrant, whole, and uniquely your own - your life as art.
What You’ll Experience
This weekend retreat is thoughtfully crafted for a small group of 40 parents to foster deep learning, support, and transformative experiences through connection.

IYD is a research-based framework and movement rooted in the belief that every young person needs a Full-Color Web of Support—a network of at least five caring, connected adults called Anchors—to thrive, stay resilient, and navigate life’s challenges successfully. It uses a visual, color-coded metaphor (ROY G BIV) to teach youth and adults how to measure, understand, and strengthen the threads (supportive behaviors, values, and resources) that make up this web. At its core, IYD empowers individuals, families, and other caring adults to be intentional about building, maintaining, and restoring these webs, because a well-supported youth is far more likely to flourish and less likely to engage in risky behaviors .
